Visiting electronics surplus stores and seeing boxes of different shapes and sizes of resistors, capacitors, and other small components with silvery wire leads always made me think of jumbles of long-legged, colorful insects. These visits were the inspiration for the first small creations. As time passed, the range of creative possibilities quickly grew, and now the insects are built of intricate assemblies of components -- both in the functional and purely ornamental senses.
